Chatham Area Network of Therapeutic Riding

Mission:

To provide equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) in Central NC to individuals with physical, emotional, or developmental disabilities alongside their typically developing peers when possible.

To educate our community about people with disabilities and equine related activities.

To link people with disabilities to equine professionals.

To engage people in volunteer work to achieve a positive result for themselves and for their community.

CAN-TR is Chatham Area Network of Therapeutic Riding. We are a member of organization and hope to have member farms located throughout Chatham County. We currently have two farms. Laurel Ridge in Siler City offers hippotherapy and Possum Trail Farm in Pittsboro offers therapeutic riding lessons.
